Fletcher Engineering is a division of Fletcher Construction and primarily operates in the civil, infrastructure, mechanical, industrial and foundation engineering sectors. The company is involved in high value multi-discipline construction projects. Key people involved in implementing these projects are Project, Site and Assistant Engineers.
A costly part of each project is time delays. Any delay erodes the project and ultimately company profitability. Improving negotiation skills with all stakeholders will improve time frames and bottom time profitability.
Training/Business Objectives
- To drive a negotiation led culture within the company
- To attain a higher level of negotiation skills
- To maintain and improve relationships with all stakeholders in the supply chain
- To introduce win/win and fun into negotiations
Training Delivered
Over 2003 / 2004 a series of 4 two-day negotiation skills programmes were delivered to approximately 60 professional engineering staff including Project Engineers, Site Engineers and Assistant Engineers. Each program had a specific review and customised activities designed to meet specific needs of the business.
